LightWedge Book Lights

Q: The light from my LightWedge Original or Paperback is not bright enough. Is there something I can do?

Check the battery orientation. All four batteries should be running the same direction in the LightWedge Original or Paperback, according to the diagram in the instruction booklet and the diagrams on the inside of the unit (as well as below). Unlike many products, the LightWedge Original or Paperback will light if one of the four batteries is set in the wrong direction, but the light will be very dim. Four new AAA batteries oriented correctly will provide plenty of brightness for nighttime reading in a dark room.

Q: How do I charge my ReLight?

To charge your ReLight, insert the bottom of the light into the charging station and plug the AC adapter into the wall outlet. Be sure to fully charge the ReLight before the first use. The ReLight will be fully charged in three hours. The charger will stop charging when the batteries are fully charged. The two 3.6V LIR 2450 batteries will last at least 500 charging cycles. Please note, repeatedly recharging a partially full battery will reduce its overall lifespan.

Q: Why is my ReLight not charging?

Please make sure that you have removed the two plastic tabs sticking out of the book clip on the Relight. If you have not removed these, please do so now. Unfold the ReLight so the book clip is facing upwards towards you. Pull on the plastic tabs until they come out. This will allow the batteries to make the necessary connection to turn the light on and charge. If you have already removed the plastic tabs, then it could be that your ReLight doesn’t have a full charge. Please charge your ReLight for a full 3-4 hours. If that does not work, contact Customer Service.

Q: Where do I purchase the rechargeable batteries for the ReLight?

You can purchase the 3.6 V LIR 2450 batteries at Radioshack or on other online sites. Please note, using incorrect batteries, or non-rechargeable batteries, may cause damage to the product.
