Awesome Light, Awesome Customer Service I was lucky enough to inherit an Arc Light from my girlfriend as she keeps her Kobo reader in a case and prefers to use the light on the nightstand. Fantastic for it's size. I've had several book lights but this one beats them all! Spendy but I thought I'd try it. The thing it, its brighter than all the other popular ones I have tried. I put it up side by side with the most popular bookight that Amazon sells, and this one beats them all, it covers all the way to the bottom of both Kindles I own, the 6" and also the 9" DX. It is super lightweight so it doesnt add to the weight of my readers. It fits very snug, yet is easy to remove. It comes with a USB charger that plugs into my laptop, so I can charge while I'm using my computer. I'm so glad, the battery thing was driving me crazy, and getting expensive replacing those batteries. Falling asleep with it on was costing me money! This is truly the best light accessory for the Kindle 3 currently available; I couldn't be happier with it.
The clip fits *perfectly* without scratching the Kindle's case. It has high-friction pads the sit against the Kindle, so even tipped upside down and shaken, it doesn't come off. The best way to remove it, is to just tilt it off. It comes off easily this way, rather than trying to pull directly up on it.
I like being able to charge it by simply plugging it into my computer or laptop via a USB port. Some reviewers complained about the lack of an AC adapter. Easily fixed! As the Kindle comes with a USB to AC adapter for charging the Kindle itself. I have had no problem attaching the 'plug' part to the charging cord for the Verso light. In fact, both the Kindle's mini-USB cord and the one provided for the light are interchangeable. Another plus! I tend to keep the Kindle's longer (white) cord with my computer and the light's smaller (black) cord with my laptop so that I'm never hunting for one. I love not dealing with bulky batteries. Also, unlike using regular batteries, which can cause the light to dim as they wear down, this never dims. I read nightly for hours - I generally charge the light once a week.

This light is awesome! I have done a lot of research on lights for my Kindle 3, when I came upon this light. Its extremely lightweight...there is literally no added weight when you put it on your kindle. It does NOT use batteries which can end up costing you a bundle! It charges using the USB cable provided which is great. It lights up the whole K3 screen. I absolutely love this light! If u want a light that is feather-light(adds no weight to your e-reader), and of course does not eat up your money on buying batteries constantly, then this is the light for u! This light is just what the eReading Dr. asked for. It's very sleek, very unobtrusive. It's the same color as the grey Kindle. It's rechargeable, which regardless of what anyone says, is going to save you a killing on batteries. And it illuminates upwards of 95% of the screen. You can see everything you need to read. A lot of similar lights don't light up the whole screen without being in the way themselves. The Arc provides just the right amount of soft reading light. Thanks Verso! - Joe, Alabama
I got my Verso Rechargeable Arc Light today and I am sooooo happy with it. I did a lot of research on trying to find just the right one. I didn't want a light too big, and I really didn't want a light that needed the extra cost of buying batteries. I was really surprised at how light weight the Verso is. And I am 2 happy that the Verso fits my Kindle just right. I really didn't want to pay $39.99 for a light. And even though it is pricey, i am so happy with the product. The Verso Light is nice and bright enough to shine across the entire Kindle, without casting a glare, and the arm of the light don't get in the way of reading. As a test, I stepped into a dark room, and I had no problems reading the Kindle at all. I gave the Verso Rechargeable Arc Light a 5 star rating. You do get what you pay for, need I say anymore? - Darryl
